Signed and sealed

I’ve signed away my ovary today. I have also given surgeon permission to take my other ovary during the operation, should the frozen biopsy come back as borderline. I was surprised to hear that cysts don’t always return, which made me feel better about keeping one ovary, although I’m not convinced.

So that’s that. I still have to see the anesthetist next week, but now I just have to wait for the dreaded date to arrive. I’m glad I’m at work, it takes my mind off things. Overall though, I’m feeling pretty strong and positive. It’s weird how this blog has turned into a blog about ovarian cysts! We never know what’s around the corner! It’s a good job really.

  1. Glad to hear you are feeling positive and you have been able to make a decision about your other ovary. It’s a really good job we don’t know what’s around the corner, it’s really funny how life works out. Now I’m 90% recovered from my surgery I’m feeling better than I have in years and in a funny way I’ve learnt a lot from this latest experience and met so many great people I’m almost glad to have gone through it. Almost! Sending positive vibes to you x

  2. I’m glad to hear you are feeling really well. It’s true what they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! Bad experiences definitely have their merits, it just takes a while to realise them.
